The 2014 GOTY Retrospect

It’s that infamous time of the year, where we all defend our GOTY choice and inquisition everyone else’s. But the one thing I have noticed about this year is that many people are saying that there aren’t that many games out there that are contenders, but that is a far cry from the truth. The stick of truth is that there have been some large titan falls this year. So lets sit on our throne of games by the hearthstone and talk about all the tales from 2014. We have traveled from middle-earth to worlds beyond earth where we see a dark soul redux of a new order, where we can truly see the evil within. We have seen the dying lights of worlds because of the advanced warfare of our enemies. But we default to bravely fight as valiant hearts and declare this war of mine. We fight to the last of us because it’s our destiny, it does not matter if we are a warlordthief, rogue, (hyrule)warrior or a knight with a shovel because we all fight for unity under one banner(saga). We are the children of light destined to fight the wolf among us with a bayonetta in hand. We have seen our brothers smashed and have wondered if its divinity or a sin to keep this towerfall ascencion moving all for the rebirth of what we hope is a better place. And as we traveled through this journey we have obtained a master collection of elder scrolls, metal gears, rubies, sapphires and transistors all for the sake of creating a monument valley for those who  have died along the wayAnd at the end when we are karting down the kentucky route while staring at the sunset(overdrive) over the (forza)horizon to a place where we can live off the GRID and enjoy some jazzpunk in a tropical freezewhere we can live like our sims and watch flappy birds, where we can think to ourselves and wonder did we get enough velocity for the pre-sequel next year.

So as we can see there have been plenty of games that have made 2014 great to be a gamer and no matter what you chose for your GOTY, remember that we all went through the same journey in one form or another and have had varying experiences with it all.

Let us know if we mentioned your GOTY and if not let us know what your GOTY is.
